The Salas Family Tree

Virginia Ruiz Acuna & Angelita Salas Acuna are descended from the Salas Family.

Members of the Salas Family married into the Acuña Family linking the ancestry of two branches of our family to the Salas.  The Salas Family tree begins with Francisco Salas.

1.  First Marriage:  Francisco Salas & Dolores Ruiz

They had three daughters:  Gauadalupe who married Manuel de Mietra Felix.  Fabiana who married Ruiz.   And Maria who married first Navarro the second marriage to Chavez.

Guadalupe Salas Felix had 8 children:  Frank who married Vicenta Leyva; Pablo, Dolores who married Villa.  Then Loretto, Guillermo, Guadalupe, Luisa, and Evangeline.

Fabiana Salas Ruiz had 5 children.  Lola who married Manuel Rivera.  Virginia who married Frank “Chico” Ortega Acuña.  Rosa who married John Velarde.  Isidrio who married Paulina.  And Lupe who married Andres Leon.

Virginia & Chico Acuña had children Ishmael, Frank, Carlos & Lydia.  Rosa & John had children Francis Likum and Rosie Rico.  Isidrio was in the US Army and died in WWII.  Lupe & Andres had no children.

Maria Salas Navarro had children Mercy and Manuel.

2. Second Marriage:  Francisco Salas & Manuela Carbajal

They had 6 children:  Juanita who married Tarin.  Pasquel who married Petra.  Fred who married Luisa.  Angel who married Virginia Gil.  Charlie who married Mae Parra.  And Angelita “Angie” who married Florencio “Lencho” Ortega Acuña.

 

Note: Relatives, Virginia Ruiz and Angie Salas married brothers, Francisco Acuña and Florencio Acuña.  Their children are cousins related by blood on both sides of the family, Acuña & Salas.
